I have the day off today and, after much discussion earlier this year where my son was asking when I was going to visit him I chose this weekend!
I have booked my seat on the bus, still not ready to do that drive….. and will be leaving at lunchtime for a weekend of fun and fairy lights. I can’t wait!!!
All the animals are catered for, my daughter is staying home to wait on them!
My bag is packed with just room for the laptop – yes Keiron, there is work to be done on it! I have books, lunch and Jose (my ipod full of Spanish stuff for me to listen to) is charged up, ready for action.
Hope you have got your Christmas tree up and twinkling – here is reminder of ours!
My Christmas tree is full of memories, it has baubles, toys and dolls from my late Mum’s childhood, then mine, and I have followed the tradition of buying a new bauble every year ….. might just have to blog about it sometime!!!!
It’s up, although it seems to have a leaning tendency – something to do with where it’s been positioned I think (and no it’s not near to the Christmas Spirits!!!).

It looks so lovely ! I wish my decorations had specials meaning. Looking forward to perhaps reading more about them. Safe journey, and Hola! to Jose. 🙂 x
Hi Kate – have a great time with your son. Your tree looks lovely, the better for all the memories it carries.
Thank you for leaving a comment at my place.

Gorgeous! I was just saying to Baino she should do a meme about your top 5 favourite tree ornaments. My fave is a bauble made of sealing wax, pressed with loads of teeny little mirrors that we got in Goa, oh and my kids’ cack-handed primary school efforts, natch.
Have fun at Keiron’s!! xx
Love a Christmas tree with memories AND glitter, and yours has both. It looks great.

Have a great weekend!
I always think slightly drunken Christmas decorations embody the spirit of the season, as it were.
