I’m still here!
Having a very busy time at home and at work – trying to get everything done before I go on holiday…. not long to wait now!
And then when I get back I have to have an operation on my elbow so it means doubly getting things sorted ‘cos I will be ‘winged’ (he was going to operate on both at the same time but I said no – for obvious reasons I thought) for a while. I have ‘fizzy’ fingers caused by a trapped nerve that needs re-routing.
So… the garden is looking better – my Mum’s day present from my daughter was new shrubs for the raised bed. They are all in place now and will I am sure look gorgeous when they have ‘taken’. My son’s present was wine – very nice thank you!!!
Also two days before Mum’s day I came home to find these…
and these……
My favourite flowers from my beautiful daughter!!!
As you can see from the photos, through the window, my back garden is mostly patio but there is now a raised flower bed in one corner – there will be photos later but I may need my son to come and take them – he has a good camera and it would be nice to get professional pics before my atrocious gardening skills kill everything off……..
Lovely flowers, Kate. Mother’s Day here in the U.S. is not until May sometime. Very nice of your daughter to bring things for your garden as well as inside to brighten things. And of course your son bringing the wine so you can ‘mellow’ while enjoying the flowers at the same time. 🙂 You must be getting excited for your holiday! Not so excited about the surgery though I’m guessing. I just got back from my trip and now have to face having a catarac removed from my eye, but that is surely much less daunting than surgery on your elbow. But then we won’t think about it further, so you can better enjoy your holiday. I will be looking forward to the photos!

Have a good holiday – enjoy the sangria (I know I will!!)
Oh and good luck with the op too
Thank you Val – I have a while to wait yet for my operation but at least i can get things done – the plants are still doing well – which is a definite bonus!!!
Gitwizard – Thank you – I can’t wait to go and practise my Spanish again!!!
Taffy’s mum – it won’t be long now bet you are on serious countdown -you go just before we do – which part of the island are you going to for your Sangria and sunshine?????
Hmm … I’m sorry I haven’t visited lately, but it seems your feed isn’t showing up in my news reader! I check my subscriptions almost every day and there’s been nothing for you! I’ll try unsubscribing you and re-subscribing.
Sorry to hear you’re going for surgery on your elbow. OH had that one done and it was a great success. Recover time a lot shorter than my shoulder too!
The daffys are lovely. I had a bunch from my Mum that came from her garden. I have some, but not enough to pick.
Hope the op goes well – meanwhile, have a great holiday!
Hi Jay – not a problem my friend you have so many places to visit, but its nice to see you here. Good to find someboday that has had their elbow ‘done’ too and more to the point … it worked!!!
Thanks,I’m looking forward to my holiday – it will be my birthday the day after we get there so at least I should get some sunshine as a special present!!!
so there i was trying to submit a supplier audit questionnaire through this strange online system when i was smacked with an error, “sorry there has been an error, we know about this and will sort it out shortly”…..
1 quick online chat later with a friendly person showed me that it was not i that messed up but the error message in fact messed up, as the questionnaire had been submitted!!!!
Hi Brian – well at least it was all sorted out – easily!!!
Hi Kate,
Just wanted to wish you a Happy Easter, hope the elbow isn’t playing up too much.

Hi Kate,
Sorry for the delayed reply – busy at work with deadlines and also at home getting things ready for leaving OH in charge of the hounds.
We are going to be staying in Los Christianos so I get some poolside time but my cousin lives in the mountains overlooking the sea and my aunt and uncle also have a place in the mountains about 10 mins from the airport so will be travelling around.
As for the countdown – 8 days and counting!
Just round the coast a bit from where we are going then – my brother lives near Fannabe but our hotel is in Callao Salvaje – yes I do understand about getting things ready – you are lucky you have a built in dog sitter – I have to ship one in to deal with greyhound, cat, guinea pig and house – still its all good fun and at least we don’t worry about things while we are away, – we’re on 11 days now!!!
Moon: And you have been missed my friend!
Hope you are okay.
Have a hug from Daffy Strewn England!!!! They look amazing at the moment!
We may bump into each other and not know it!!
It is great leaving OH behind as my dog-sitter but we have a problem when we want to go away together!!
Have a lovely holiday Kate and good luck with your op’ when you come back!
