Thank you to Jay at the Depp Effect for this meme…. Find the fourth photo in your picture folders and explain it?, she said!!
So I have… and yes I am just as disorganised with my pictures as everybody else!!
But here it is:
Many of you will already know about Hippie and her dog blog which is featured on the right of this blog, and the ones who have read the early chapters will know how out of control this beautiful creature was when she came to stay.
But after the initial mayhem she became quite easy to train and here is an early shot of a ‘sit’ and ‘shake a paw’ moment.
These animals are so beautiful and intelligent and it should be remembered when adopting a retired greyhound that:
They have never lived in a house before….
And… they can learn so much given time, love and a lot of patience.
Believe me – they make it all so worthwhile!
So I have to pass it forward with the same message……
I have to choose … Baino – cos her photography is something else, Daddy Papersurfer … go on lets see your 4th photo …… and Don’t Bug Me …..for the penguins and other stories
Find the fourth photo in your picture folders and explain it!!!!
Awww … she is so sweet! Well, they both are, it’s a sweet picture!
You’re so right. Greyhounds can blossom and learn quite well, given time, with a large helping of patience and love!
I have loads of folders ……. pick a number between 1 and 22 …….. not promising anything though ……. and I’ll probably need a reminder ………
Kate, I love this photo…it is wonderful! Both ladies in it are absolutely charming. Of course you know I second all your comments regarding Retired Racing Greyhounds. They are a huge part of my life and I am thankful to them for being so giving to me.
Hippie – lots of scritches to you sweet girl!
Hugs to your Moms.
Ooh any excuse to talk about myself! Same for me though, pic number between 1 and 30 but not 30 cos they were my early efforts! Hippie is lovely, I’ve really come to like greyhounds through yours, Jay’s and Englishmum’s blogs.
Aww such a lovely photo.
So sweet.
Any photo with a dog/cat/any animal really is going to be a good one. Given that most of my photos have animals in, the chances are high that the one I end up with will have one in it too. But, you are going to have to
give me a folder number too – I have soooooo many photos now.
Thank you Jay – you know how difficult the beginning of this relationship was – its the moments like this one that make it all worthwhile…..
Daddy P – I’m going for number 4 the 4th photo in the 4th folder…. go on.. this could be a whole new insight into the Papersurfer Journals.
Sistertex – Aren’t they beautiful… both of them..thank you for the hugs and scritchies- they have been delivered!
Baino – Apparently it has to be all the ‘4’s’ 4th folder/4th photo- don’t worry all my photos are taken on my mobile, some are worse than others! Just go for it!
Val – aren’t they looking good and both behaving well too! That makes a change!
Ethelmaepotter – Its amazing isn’t it – you wouldn’t think that only days before that photo Hippie had trashed my house and ripped up the carpets would you???
Don’t Bug Me – I should have said but, being me, didn’t – it has to be folder number 4 and the 4th photo but we won’t know if its not and your photos and adventures are just something else so you choose!!!
What a beautiful photo!
I guess it must be like having a puppy all over again. No advice here, I’m afraid…I just wish you lots of luck.
Many thanks for the comment on my blog. It was such a lovely story you told…it put a big smile on my face this morning 🙂
It is done.
Thanks Elaine – Thats one big puppy – all 30 kilos!!! 😉
DBM – Thank you – I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!
Haven’t heard from you in a while, hope all is well.
