Well what an exciting day for our girl.
She was up early, breakfasted and brushed ready to leave at 10.00.
We arrived at Nottingham Racecourse and parked the car (for Free!!!) before meeting up with some friends and their black and white boy Ollie. No pictures here I’m afraid – some of them just didn’t work out – I think someone moved… anyway Ollie has been on this site just a couple of posts back!
There were many interesting stalls where you could buy anything houndlike include beautiful greyhound pyjamas – my daughter was very tempted there, but ended up buying her a new collar instead. Some stalls sold treats and other goodies – just look at these greyhound upper class diners having their gourmet dinner..
"Have you said grace Bert?"
"Yes – then let’s begin!"
Hippie loved wandering around the event, so many new friends to make – she does love meeting other hounds … but there was a special one there too… a really special boy, oh and his proud Mum Jay….
This is the very beautiful Sid and he really is beautiful! Those eyes! Of course Hippie just wandered off in the middle of this and is just showing us her stumpy tail in the bottom right corner.
Oh wait there she is ….
You know what she’s after don’t you – just like any other big kid…
Well it was a very warm day….
and she didn’t eat it all!!!
Just enough to make her drowsy and ready for the ride home!
It was a lovely day!
Lovely photos, it does sound like a very nice day! You know, Renner won’t eat ice cream, he will take a lick or two, and just not eat it. I think he doesn’t like the ‘cold’ feel of it. Scooter, on the other hand, just scarfs it up. He loves it. Nice to hear from you, Kate and love the photos. Scritches to Hippie, hugs to you!
Hi Sistertex, Well Hippie wasn’t really sure at the beginning but then she just went for it…. I really think the black and white ones have different personalities to the rest.
Thanks for the hugs and I will give Hips her scritches!!!
Well they are being spoiled, gourmet food and settings.
Ooooh! LOOK!! There’s my Sid! 😀
Hippie is lovely, too, and her stumpy tail is very sweet.. I wanted a black and white this time, you know, but ended up with Sid instead.
It was a lovely day, wasn’t it? You know, I didn’t think of getting Sid an ice cream, but he’d have loved it. I did think about putting him through the doggy wash, but 30-45 mins might have been too long standing for him, since he was out and about all day anyway.
I love the gourmet diners! We did buy treats for Sid there, so he wasn’t entirely deprived!
Well no risk of Hippie getting fat at least! I don’t think my dog’s ever had ice cream. And lucky you meeting Jay and Sid! Looks like a load of fun. Chin up honey bunny. . sometimes pictures speak louder than words!
Oh that sound like you both had a great day by all. shep just checked in hes wagging his tail and wanted to know could he have some of hippys ice cream.
