It?s been a while I know, but there have been many issues that have kept me away?
Not least the constant rain and flooding affecting my home and garden ? none of which is covered by my insurance. The estimates for repair are huge and as you can imagine ? happy blogging was not on my agenda. And there will be no pictures of the damage ? I hate my home looking like a building site. One day it will be sorted out ? if the rain keeps off!
Add that to my trusty laptop giving up the ghost which meant that I had to get a Windows 8 machine ? that?s been a bit of a learning curve and I?m still having problems uploading photos from my Android mobile ? they are always the wrong way up!
Alfie had an accident a month ago ? my daughter came home in the middle of the day to check on the dogs and found him with a large cut on his hind leg exposing the muscle. The vet kept him overnight and stitched him up but he has had to lead a very quiet life while it heals?
He has been proper poorly! He says?..
Also managed to decorate my bedroom ? that was long overdue ? and its amazing how a lick of paint and some nice wallpaper can lift your spirits!
That?s the wallpaper ? it has glittery bits in some of the flowers!
It looks so different from the purple walls of before, where I had just covered up the previous owners paper when I moved in while I sorted some of the other rooms.
So ? this is really a test post ? just to see if the photos stay the right way up!
Hi Kate
Always happy to see you post. Sounds as though you have been having a few challenges, not least of which is Windows. I only use Apple here, and I am not very adept at computers, so I love having a system I can say “stop it!” to, and it listens. It also asks “do you really want to do this?” when I attempt something ridiculous. Oh well, next time eh?
I hope the house repairs and the puppy repairs work out for you.
Wow, you have had a lot to deal with. I am sorry about the flooding. The insurance companies will do anything to get out of paying I know, but presumably you’re in an officially vulnerable area? Bad luck. 🙁
And poor Alfie! Looks as though he ran into the corner of something, doesn’t it? I hope he is healing well!
Hi Jay…. Yep Alfie caught himself on a low guttering – it did have an end cap on but he took it off – it is now padded beyond belief and his wound is healed!
The house problems i am tackling a little bit at a time!!!
Hello Cortes… nice to hear from you – I quite like computer challenges – except when I’m trying to do something in a hurry!!! My daughter is an Apple fan though – Alf is doing ok now thank goodness and hopefully the weather will stay dry enough for me to get some of the repairs done….
